Over 15.95 lakh Haryana farmers get Rs 319 crore under PM-Kisan

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Saturday that over 15.95 lakh beneficiary farmers in the state received Rs 319.13 crore under the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana. The funds were transferred directly into farmers' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

PM Releases Rs 18,880 Crore Nationally

Addressing the state-level 'PM Kisan Utsav Diwas' programme in Panchkula, Saini said Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 23rd instalment of the scheme. Nationally, the Prime Minister transferred more than Rs 18,880 crore to over 9.44 crore farmers across the country.

“This assistance is being credited directly into farmers’ bank accounts without any middlemen, commissions or recommendations,” Saini said, adding that the funds reflect the nation’s respect for its ‘annadatas’ (food providers).

Total Disbursement in Haryana Reaches Rs 7,881.60 Crore

With the latest instalment, farmers of Haryana have received a cumulative Rs 7,881.60 crore under the PM-Kisan scheme since its inception. The Chief Minister emphasised that technology-driven governance has transformed service delivery. “Today, farmers receive their rightful benefits directly in their bank accounts with complete transparency and dignity,” he said.

MSP Procurement and Natural Farming Initiatives

Reaffirming the state’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, Saini stated that Haryana is procuring all 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Over the past 12 procurement seasons, nearly Rs 1.80 lakh crore has been transferred directly to around 12 lakh farmers for their produce.

On natural farming, the Chief Minister said nearly two lakh farmers have registered around three lakh acres on the state’s Natural Farming Portal. Additionally, over 12,000 participants have been trained in natural farming techniques, he added.
