In a major crackdown on narcotics smuggling, Bhadsoda police in Chittorgarh district seized 158 kilograms of illegal opium poppy husk from a container during a blockade on Saturday. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.

Details of the Seizure

The accused have been identified as Vivek (21) and Pankaj (35), both residents of Dungarpur. The police action was part of Operation Trinetra, an ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in the district.

Police Operation

Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi stated that the police had set up a blockade on the Khokharia Khedi service road along a national highway. During the operation, they intercepted a vehicle carrying a container and detained the two men. Upon searching the container, the police discovered the large quantity of opium poppy husk.
