Udhampur Operation Nets Two Accused

According to a police spokesperson, the first incident occurred during a routine vehicle check at Rehambal in Udhampur district. Officials stopped a car being driven by an individual identified as Manik Oberoi. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 4.23 grams of heroin. Oberoi and another occupant of the car, Sachin Kumar, were immediately taken into custody.

Another Arrest in Jammu's RS Pura

In a separate but simultaneous operation in the Jammu district, police conducted a check at Chakrohi in the RS Pura area. Here, a car driven by Sunil Choudhary, a resident of Suchetgarh, was intercepted. A subsequent search yielded 3.30 grams of heroin, leading to Choudhary's arrest.

Legal Action and Ongoing Probe

All three individuals have been formally booked under relevant sections of the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
