Bhilwara Tragedy: Father Allegedly Murders Son Before Taking His Own Life

In a deeply disturbing incident that has shaken the Badla village community in Bhilwara district, a 40-year-old man allegedly slit his 13-year-old son's throat with a sickle before consuming a toxic substance on Friday morning. The man, identified as Radheshyam Vaishnav, later died during treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara, while his son, Vansh Vaishnav, a Class 8 student, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police Investigation and Initial Findings

Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh confirmed that Radheshyam Vaishnav committed the horrific act on Friday morning. Villagers discovered him unconscious and rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Upon receiving information, ASI Pyarchand from Badliyas police station arrived at the location, accompanied by a Mobile Observation Team and forensic experts from Bhilwara who collected crucial evidence from the crime scene.

The police conducted post-mortem examinations of both bodies through a medical board and subsequently handed them over to grieving family members. Preliminary investigations have uncovered a troubling background of domestic strife. Radheshyam had ongoing disputes with his wife and was reportedly beating her daily, which led her to seek refuge at her maternal home in Chittorgarh.

Heartbreaking Details of the Incident

According to police reports, Vansh Vaishnav was living with a teacher in Kotri within Bhilwara district and attending school as a Class 8 student. His father brought him to Badla village on Thursday evening. Tragically, the next morning, Radheshyam used a dathli (sickle) to slit his son's throat before ingesting a poisonous substance himself.

Disturbing Social Media Video Before the Tragedy

In a chilling prelude to the incident, Radheshyam recorded and posted a video on social media, directly accusing his in-laws and wife of severe harassment that he claimed drove him to this extreme step. In the emotional video, he stated, "I seek forgiveness from all of you. My son and I will have to commit suicide within 1-2 days. The responsibility lies with my wife, elder son, daughter, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, his wife, and sister-in-law. My in-laws have harassed me immensely. Because of these people, my child and I are being forced to commit suicide. They should be given the strictest punishment. They have no right to come to my village. They should be given the harshest punishment. I seek forgiveness."

Ongoing Police Investigation

Bhilwara police have registered a formal case based on the video evidence and reports from the deceased's family members. The investigation is actively underway to uncover all aspects of this tragic case, including the veracity of the harassment claims and the full circumstances leading to this devastating outcome.
