An eyewitness has provided a detailed account of a shocking late-night shooting incident in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, where a bike-borne assailant allegedly opened fire on a car near Madhyamgram, barely 200–300 metres from a hospital.
Incident Details
According to the witness, the vehicle came to an abrupt halt mid-way before the attacker approached on a motorcycle and fired at close range on the left side of the car. The witness described the shooter as appearing highly trained and carrying out the attack in a planned manner, fleeing the scene immediately after the shots.
Timing and Location
The incident occurred between 10:30 PM and 11 PM, just a short distance from a local hospital. Two rounds were heard during the attack, which sent panic through the area. Locals quickly rushed the injured to the hospital, and it was reported that the driver of the car was also shot.
Police Investigation
Authorities are investigating the targeted attack, examining all possible angles, including whether the incident was pre-planned. Police have not yet released details about the victims or the suspect, but they are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence from the scene.
