Indore: Car Crashes Into Bus Stop and Police Station
A high-speed car crashed into a Smart City bus stop at Palasia intersection in Indore early Friday morning, completely destroying the structure before landing on the premises of the Palasia police station. The incident occurred between 2:00 AM and 2:30 AM.
Details of the Accident
According to Palasia TI Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi, the white car was traveling from the Saket area at a very high speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle first struck the Smart City bus stop, reducing it to rubble, then damaged the boundary wall, footpath, and railings before coming to a halt on police station grounds. A man sleeping near the bus stop had a narrow escape as the car passed just inches away from him.
Four people were in the car at the time of the crash. They exited the damaged vehicle and fled the scene immediately. Vehicle documents revealed that the car was registered under the name of Mahesh Suthar, a resident of Piploda in Ratlam. Police have seized the car and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and locate the four occupants.
Second Accident in Juni Indore
In a separate incident within the Juni Indore police station limits, a college student driving a car collided with several vehicles and a store. The driver, identified as Saumya Jatin Rajpal, a resident of Triveni Colony, was driving from Tower Square toward Agrasen Square. According to TI Anil Gupta, the driver panicked near Agarwal Sweets and hit several two-wheelers before crashing into the shutter of a shop. The scooters were severely damaged, but no injuries were reported as the shop was closed at the time.
