Coimbatore: Security protocols were swiftly activated after the Coimbatore combined court complex received a bomb threat email from an unidentified individual on Thursday.
Threat Details
The Race Course police were alerted after an email delivered around 10:25 am warned of an explosion at the court complex. The bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) immediately responded.
Search Operation
Thorough search operations were conducted using metal detectors and a K9 dog squad throughout the court premises, including parking areas and washrooms. No suspicious materials or bombs were found during the intensive search.

The threat was subsequently declared a hoax. Police have registered a case and a probe is underway to trace the unidentified individual who sent the threat mail.
