HYDERABAD: The Nampally Court in Hyderabad has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun, directing him to appear in person on June 22 in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.

According to the actor's legal team, the court has asked Allu Arjun to be present for a hearing scheduled on Monday.

"Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun to appear in person before the court on Monday for a hearing. We will give more details later about the matter," the legal team said.

In the case, the Sandhya Theatre management has been named as Accused Nos. 1 to 10 (A1–A10), while Allu Arjun has been listed as Accused No. 11 (A11) by the Chikkadpally Police.

The court has issued summons to 19 accused persons in connection with the stampede incident. Police have already filed a chargesheet against 23 accused individuals.

The tragic incident occurred on December 4, 2024, during a special screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad.

A stampede broke out at the venue, resulting in the death of a woman identified as Revathi. Her son, Sri Teja, sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The case has remained under investigation, with police examining the roles and responsibilities of various individuals and entities linked to the event.

The upcoming hearing is expected to be a key development in the proceedings related to the stampede tragedy.
