According to information received, several persons arrived at the health centre around midnight and accused the medical staff of failing to provide proper treatment to a patient. The argument between the group and the doctor quickly escalated, leading to a violent confrontation. The accused allegedly snatched mobile phones, prevented videography, shut the doors of the health centre, and assaulted the staff members.

Health Authorities Condemn the Incident

District health officer Swapnil Bele stated, "After receiving information about the assault, I visited the spot and conducted an inquiry. The accused snatched mobile phones, prevented videography, shut the doors of the health centre and assaulted the staff. The incident is highly condemnable." He emphasized the severity of the attack on healthcare professionals performing their duties.

Medical Officer Files Detailed Complaint

Medical officer Sanket Ravekar, who sustained injuries in the assault, lodged a formal complaint with the police. In his complaint, he detailed that the accused abused him, assaulted him with fists and kicks, and issued death threats. The complaint has formed the basis for police action against the perpetrators.

Police have registered an offence against four accused in connection with the incident.
