Punjab's Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura has reported that mischievous elements have created a fraudulent Facebook account in his name, using his photographs and personal details, to solicit money from his acquaintances and well-wishers.
No Victims Reported So Far
Fortunately, no friend, relative, or acquaintance of the MLA has reported being duped by this fraudulent attempt as of now. Giaspura has issued a public caution against the fake profile, urging people not to transfer any money or respond to any financial requests made through the account.
Police Investigation Underway
The MLA has formally requested senior officials of the Khanna police to investigate the matter and initiate legal action against those responsible for creating the fake profile. Authorities are working to trace the origin of the fraudulent account.
Giaspura emphasized the importance of vigilance and advised the public to verify any suspicious requests, especially those involving financial transactions, through official channels.
