Prayagraj police have initiated a formal investigation after registering a First Information Report (FIR) against five individuals, including the chief security officer of a reputed engineering institute. The case stems from the tragic death of a security guard who allegedly ended his life after enduring months of harassment.
The Tragic Incident and the Emergent Video
On December 17, security guard Bipin Shukla, a resident of Nawabganj, consumed a poisonous substance. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his condition the following day, December 18. The case took a significant turn on December 28 when a distressing video recorded by Shukla himself surfaced.
In the video, the deceased guard explicitly accused five persons of subjecting him to relentless harassment for a period of six months. He stated that the persistent mistreatment had forced him to consider quitting his job. Following the emergence of this critical evidence, Shukla's wife approached the police and lodged a formal complaint.
Police Investigation and Digital Evidence
A senior police officer confirmed the registration of the FIR and stated that fresh investigations have been launched based on the complaint. "After registering the FIR, police launched fresh investigations, and actions would be taken accordingly," the officer said.
The investigation faced an initial hurdle as the mobile phone and laptop belonging to Bipin Shukla were found locked. However, his wife managed to gain access to the devices. It was there that she discovered the poignant suicide video, which became the cornerstone of the complaint filed with the authorities.
