A fire broke out near the helipad at Ram Katha Park in Ayodhya just minutes before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was scheduled to land there on Friday, according to officials. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze and how it ignited so close to the designated landing area for the chief minister.
Blaze Spreads Towards Saryu Guest House
The fire reportedly started near the helipad and rapidly spread towards the nearby Saryu Guest House. Officials stated that the flames affected an area spanning approximately 15 metres before firefighting teams managed to bring the situation under control prior to the chief minister's touchdown.
Security Personnel Respond Quickly
Security personnel stationed at the site initially attempted to contain the flames using available resources. Fire brigade teams later arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. No injuries or loss of life were reported in the incident.
Official Statements
Ayodhya Circle Officer Ashutosh Tiwari confirmed that the fire had been brought under control and that there were no casualties. He added that an investigation is ongoing to establish the exact circumstances leading to the fire and to determine whether any lapses in safety or security arrangements contributed to the incident.
