A 21-year-old married woman from Surat district in Gujarat was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in the basement of an under-construction hotel in Jammu's Satwari area on Monday. The incident has prompted a police investigation.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Kiran Kumari, a resident of Haldhru village in Kamrej, Surat. She was found unresponsive on the basement floor of a private hotel building near Jammu airport. A police team promptly transported her to Jammu Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her brought dead.
A senior police officer stated, "The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. A case has been registered under relevant legal sections. Labourers and security personnel working at the construction site are being questioned to gather leads."
