The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued posting orders for five newly appointed Additional District and Sessions Judges (ADJs), directing them to assume charge immediately at their respective stations. The appointments are part of a larger reshuffle in the higher judicial service involving transfers and postings of several serving ADJs.
Posting Details of New ADJs
According to an order released by the High Court on Thursday, Prabhjot Singh Sachdeva has been posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge at Faridkot. Harnoor Singh Chhabra has been assigned to Ferozepur as an additional officer, while Parvinder Singh will serve at Kapurthala in the same capacity. Ravinder Singh has been sent to Sangrur as an Additional District and Sessions Judge, and Jagjit Singh has been posted at Bathinda as an additional officer.
Training and Oath Requirements
The High Court has directed the Chandigarh Judicial Academy to prepare a training schedule for the newly appointed judicial officers. Additionally, the District and Sessions Judges concerned have been instructed to ensure compliance with service rules requiring the newly appointed officers to take the prescribed Oath of Allegiance before assuming office.
Reshuffle of Serving ADJs
The posting order is part of a broader reshuffle that involves transfers of several serving ADJs. ADJ Shiv Mohan Garg has been transferred from Moga to Sangrur as Principal Judge of the Family Court. ADJ Randhir Verma moves from Sangrur to SAS Nagar as Principal Judge of the Family Court. ADJ Lakhvinder Kaur Duggal has been shifted from Ferozepur to Rupnagar, while ADJ Krishan Kant Jain moves from Faridkot to Ferozepur. ADJ Kulbhushan Kumar has been transferred from Bathinda to Pathankot, and ADJ Amrinder Pal Singh moves from Sangrur to Bathinda as Presiding Officer of the Industrial Tribunal.
