KGMU Intern Arrested in Lucknow for Alleged Rape and Blackmail of Nursing Student

Police in Lucknow made a significant arrest on Thursday. They took a KGMU intern into custody. The intern faces serious charges of rape and blackmail. His alleged victim is a nursing student.

Details of the Alleged Crime

The accused reportedly befriended the nursing student. He repeatedly called her to his flat. He made promises of marriage to gain her trust.

Over a prolonged period, the accused allegedly established physical relations with her multiple times. He exploited her sexually under false pretenses.

Whenever the student raised the issue of marriage, the accused cleverly avoided the topic. He dodged her questions and delayed any commitment.

Escalation to Threats and Blackmail

The situation took a darker turn during one meeting. The victim insisted on marriage more forcefully. In response, the accused allegedly abused her verbally.

He then issued a severe threat. The accused warned he would circulate her private photographs and videos on social media. This threat aimed to silence her if she pursued the marriage matter further.

The victim felt terrified and trapped by these actions. She decided to approach the authorities for help.

Police Action and Arrest

The nursing student filed a formal complaint with the police. An FIR was registered against the accused on December 29. The accused is identified as Mohammad Adil. He resides in the Aga Sahab Ki Kothi area of Kaiserbagh.

Following the registration of the case, Adil went into hiding. He attempted to evade arrest by disappearing from his usual locations.

Acting on specific inputs, the police located Adil near Red Cross Hospital. They arrested him on Thursday afternoon. The arrest brought some relief to the victim and her family.
