A 33-year-old man, Sidhik Kumbhar, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 30-year-old man, Adil Khalifa, to death in Gadshisha village of Mandvi taluka in Kutch district on Saturday. The murder was reportedly triggered by an affair between the victim and the wife of the accused.
Incident Details
The victim's elder brother, Imran Khalifa, lodged a complaint at Gadshisha Police Station under Section 103(1) of the BNS. According to the complaint, Imran discovered Adil inside his house with multiple stab wounds to the neck, abdomen, chest, and arms. He was rushed to a government hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Arrest and Investigation
Investigating officer JJ Rana stated that the accused was produced before a court on May 3 and remanded to one day of police custody. Police have recovered the knife used in the crime, along with the accused's clothes. Preliminary investigation revealed that Adil ran a salon, while Sidhik worked as a casual laborer.
The police are continuing their investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder. The accused remains in custody as the case proceeds.
