A 35-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by three individuals when he went to meet a married woman in Bhadiyapur village under the Malwa police station limits in Fatehpur district. The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday.

Initially, police were informed that villagers had severely assaulted the victim after catching him red-handed while stealing a buffalo. However, the investigation revealed a different story. The victim, a resident of Bitaura, had gone to meet a married woman in Badhaiyapur — whom he knew well. There, the woman's husband and family members caught him and assaulted him.
Victim Succumbs to Injuries
The injured man was rushed to the district hospital in Fatehpur, where he succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning. The deceased's brother has lodged a named First Information Report (FIR) with the Malwa police station against three persons. The accused have been taken into custody.
