PRAYAGRAJ: A man was arrested in Pratapgarh district on Friday for allegedly posting objectionable comments against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on a social media platform, police said.
An FIR was registered against Ashok Mishra alias Puttan Mishra, a resident of Poore Vijai Mazre Rajapur village, based on a complaint filed by Udaypur thana police. Mishra allegedly used abusive language and wrote objectionable comments against Adityanath on his social media account on Thursday, according to police.
A senior police officer stated, "As cops came to know about the man who wrote objectionable and vulgar language against the Chief Minister, the accused has been arrested and sent behind bars." The accused has been booked under sections 352 and 351 (2) of the BNS, the officer added.
