Man Sets Wife on Fire After Kerosene Attack in Navayikulam, Flees Scene
A man allegedly assaulted his wife and set her on fire after pouring kerosene on her at Navayikulam on Tuesday morning. The victim, Muneeshwari, aged 40, sustained severe burn injuries along with head and leg wounds.
Victim in Critical Condition at Hospital
She was admitted to Paripally medical college hospital, where she is undergoing treatment in the ICU. Hospital sources said her condition remains critical. Doctors are closely monitoring her as she fights for her life.
Accused Flees, Police Intensify Search
Police said the accused, identified as Binu, fled the scene immediately after the incident and is currently absconding. A search operation has been intensified to trace him. Authorities are combing the area and using all available resources to locate the suspect.
