NIA Files Chargesheet Against Gade Innaiah for Maoist Links

Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against Gade Innaiah for allegedly instigating people to support the banned CPI (Maoist), concluding a six-month investigation.

Charges Filed

In the chargesheet submitted before the NIA Special Court at Nampally, Hyderabad, Gade Innaiah, also known as Gade Inna Reddy, has been charged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P)A), 1967. The chargesheet is based on various technical and other evidence collected by the NIA during the investigation, according to NIA officials.

Details of the Case

Innaiah was arrested in December 2025 for allegedly delivering a speech at the funeral of CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Katha Ramchandra Reddy. At the funeral meeting, he reportedly incited a gathering of about 200 people, urging them to actively promote the ideology of CPI (Maoist) and never let the revolution die. The accused also criticized former CPI (Maoist) cadres who had surrendered their weapons to government agencies.

Investigators revealed that Innaiah used to meet senior Maoists in the jungle areas of Chhattisgarh. He allegedly propagated the terror outfit’s ideology through a frontal organization called ‘Bharat Bachao’, of which he was a co-founder.
