Three people, including a patwari (revenue official), were killed in a horrific collision between a truck and a car in Gurugram late on Wednesday night. The incident took place on the Delhi-Jaipur highway near the Rajiv Chowk flyover.
Details of the Incident
The car was heading towards Delhi when a speeding truck hit it from behind. The impact was so severe that the car was crushed, killing all three occupants on the spot. The deceased have been identified as patwari Sunil Kumar, along with two others, whose identities are being ascertained.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the truck driver, who fled the scene after the accident. Police are scanning CCTV footage to identify and arrest the accused.
This accident has once again raised concerns about road safety on this stretch, which has witnessed several fatal accidents in the past. Residents have demanded better road infrastructure and stricter enforcement of traffic rules.
