Hundreds of people from various parts of the state capital gathered at the slum as news of the rescue spread rapidly. The locality broke into an untimely Holi celebration, with people smearing each other with colors and lighting crackers. The festivities continued late into the evening, reflecting the collective joy over the children's safe return.
Jagarnath Singh, a local resident, expressed the community's emotional journey. "We used to come here every morning, hoping for good news about their safe return," he said. "Our joy knew no bounds when we learned around 8 am that Ansh and Anshika were rescued. Celebrations began just thirty minutes later."
Relief After Days of Anxiety
Sarita Devi, another neighbor, shared the emotional rollercoaster experienced by the community. "We are all glad the children returned safely," she stated. "All these days, we swung between hope and despair. The thought of something terrible happening to them constantly lingered in our minds."
Kailash Yadav, the state spokesperson of the RJD and convenor of the Ansh-Anshika Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, praised the police personnel for their dedicated efforts. "Despite the challenging nature of the case, they worked round the clock," Yadav emphasized. "Their relentless work ultimately led to this successful rescue."
