SUV Torched in Chatra Village Over Personal Rivalry

SUV Set Ablaze in Gendra Village

Unidentified criminals set an SUV on fire at Gendra village in Margadda panchayat, under the Kunda police station limits in Chatra district, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The vehicle belonged to Safendra Ganjhu and was parked outside his house at the time of the incident.

Police Investigation Underway

Police on Sunday stated that they have started a probe to identify and arrest the accused. Chatra Superintendent of Police (SP) Animesh Naithany said, “Preliminary probe indicates that the incident may be linked to a personal rivalry. Further probe is underway.” The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.

No Arrests Yet

No arrests have been made so far, and police are examining evidence and recording statements from locals to track down the perpetrators. The motive, while suspected to be personal enmity, is being investigated from all angles.
