Teacher Found Dead in Principal's Room, Suicide Suspected

A tragic incident unfolded at a government primary school in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. A woman teacher was found dead inside the principal's office, with authorities suspecting suicide.

Discovery by Student

The matter came to light when a student entered the principal's room and discovered the teacher's body. According to police accounts, the teacher had arrived at school that morning as usual. While other staff members were sitting in the school field, she went inside the building alone.

Police Investigation Details

When the teacher failed to return after a considerable time, a student was sent to check on her. The student then found her lifeless body in the principal's office. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and are awaiting the report. Officers confirmed that no suicide note has been recovered from the scene.

Arpit Vijayvargiya, Superintendent of Police in Barabanki, provided important clarification about the legal status of the case. He stated that no First Information Report has been registered so far because police have not received any formal complaint regarding the incident.

Official Response and Inquiry

Naveen Pathak, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari for Barabanki, announced that an inquiry will be initiated to determine the circumstances that led to the teacher's death. Preliminary information suggests the deceased had been undergoing psychiatric treatment before this incident occurred.
