Chacko, who was arrested in connection with the rape of the spa employee, had been released in March 2025 after completing six months of preventive detention under the same stringent legislation.

Police have arrested two individuals in the case: Chacko (27) and Berlin Das (38). Authorities report that four additional suspects remain at large and are actively being pursued.
