Two Children Drown in Urmil Dam, Bodies Found

Kanpur: The bodies of two children, aged eight and ten, were found floating in the water of Urmil Dam on Friday morning, police said. The children had gone to bathe in the submergence zone of Urmil Dam in Mahoba district late Thursday and had reportedly drowned.

The family informed the police, who reached the site but could not locate the children initially. On Friday morning, the bodies of both children were found floating in the water.

Upon receiving information about the recovery of the bodies, Police Area Officer of Charkhari, Deepak Dubey, reached the site. In-charge Station Head Vijay Bahadur Singh said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway.
