A devastating road accident on the Bhiloda-Vijaynagar highway in Gujarat's Aravalli district resulted in two fatalities and one serious injury on Saturday. The collision involved a motorcycle and a recklessly driven car, whose driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the scene.

The tragic incident occurred near Chhapra village. According to eyewitness accounts reported to the police, a speeding car collided head-on with a motorcycle. The impact of the crash was severe, leading to immediate casualties. The car driver, who remains unidentified, reportedly drove away from the spot after the accident, leaving the victims on the road.
Victims Identified, One Hospitalized
The two young men who lost their lives in the crash have been identified. Mayur Kharadi, aged 30, and Manoj Pandar, aged 21, were both residents of Bhutaval Chhapra in the Aravalli district. The third person on the bike, Ravi Bhatia, a resident of Himmatnagar, sustained injuries and was rushed for medical treatment. His current condition is being monitored.
Police Register Case Under New Laws
Officers from the Bhiloda police station have initiated a formal investigation based on a complaint filed by Kamlesh Pandor, a relative of the deceased Manoj Pandar. An offence has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act. The primary charge is against the unknown car driver for rash and negligent driving leading to death. A search is underway to trace and apprehend the accused driver.
The police are analyzing evidence from the scene and seeking more eyewitnesses to build a strong case. This incident has once again highlighted the grave dangers of reckless speeding on highways, especially in rural and semi-urban stretches, leading to irreversible loss of life.
