Woman attacked by employer in Bengaluru dies in Thrissur

A 47-year-old woman from Vadanappally in Thrissur district, who was attacked by her employer in Bengaluru on Sunday, died while undergoing treatment at Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute on Tuesday. The woman had been working at a dog shelter home in Sulibele, Bengaluru. Reports indicate that her employer, a native of Kollam, had allegedly attempted to sexually assault her.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, the employer attacked the woman and her female colleague after consuming alcohol. The two women had expressed their desire to quit their jobs due to his inappropriate behavior. The victim sustained severe head injuries, including multiple blood clots in the brain. She was initially treated at two hospitals in Bengaluru before being transferred to Thrissur on Monday.

Medical Condition

Sources at the hospital stated that the woman was in critical condition and unconscious upon arrival. She was placed on ventilator support immediately after admission. Police attempted to record her statement, but her deteriorating health prevented them from doing so.

Suspect on the Run

The accused employer is currently at large. Reports suggest that he circulated an audio clip in which he allegedly admitted to attacking the woman. Authorities are actively searching for him.
