Police have arrested a woman and her lover for allegedly raping a 19-year-old woman at a private hotel in Hisar. The victim was lured with the promise of a job.
Details of the Incident
The arrested woman is the sister-in-law of the victim's cousin. She brought the 19-year-old from Punjab to Sirsa. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the woman's boyfriend allegedly assaulted the victim at the hotel. When the victim raised an alarm, both the man and the woman gagged her and threatened to kill her.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
The following day, the victim reported the incident to the police. Both suspects were arrested from Mansa. Sirsa police stated that the complaint, originally filed at Faridkot police station in Punjab on April 23, was forwarded to them for further action.
Authorities are investigating the case and have assured strict legal action against the accused.
