JAIPUR: A 33-year-old woman allegedly severed a man's private parts and inflicted deep blade wounds on his neck after accusing him of raping her inside her residence in Jaipur on Saturday evening. The blood-soaked man was discovered lying unconscious in the house and was immediately rushed to SMS Hospital, where he remains under medical care.
Woman's Allegations
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the man arrived at her house and allegedly took advantage of finding her alone. She told police that he forcibly sexually assaulted her, following which she grabbed a blade and attacked him while resisting the alleged assault. The incident came to light after the woman contacted the police control room to report the rape. A police team arrived at the scene and found the man with severe injuries, including deep cuts to his genitals and neck, and he was promptly transferred to SMS Hospital for treatment.
Investigation Underway
During the preliminary investigation, police determined that the man had come to meet the woman at her residence on Saturday evening. Investigators are now working to establish the sequence of events that led to the violent confrontation. Authorities are examining the relationship between the two individuals, their communication records, and other evidence to verify the claims made by both parties.
Counter-Complaint by Injured Man
Police also disclosed that the injured man had been married only a month ago. While undergoing treatment at the hospital, he lodged a counter-complaint alleging that the woman had attempted to kill him. He denied the rape accusation and claimed that the woman attacked him with the intention of causing fatal injuries.
Legal Proceedings
Based on the complaints lodged by both parties, police have registered separate FIRs for rape and attempted murder. Officers stated that statements from the woman, the injured man, and other relevant witnesses are being recorded. Medical reports and forensic evidence will play a crucial role in determining the true sequence of events. Police said no arrests have been made so far, and further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
