A youth from Kurukshetra has alleged that he was beaten and sexually assaulted inside a police station in Ladwa. The incident reportedly occurred on the night of June 17, when the complainant, who is battling cancer, was stopped by police at a checkpoint and taken to the station.
Allegations Against Three Policemen
The victim has leveled serious accusations against three police personnel. Following the complaint, DSP Nirmal Singh visited LNJP Civil Hospital to verify the claims. He stated that the allegations are being investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
Police Response and Suspension
SP Chander Mohan confirmed that a preliminary inquiry revealed the complainant was assaulted after using abusive language. A case has been registered against the three officers, and they have been suspended. An SIT under the DSP has been formed for further investigation.
Authorities are awaiting the victim's medical report to proceed with the case.
