Body of Teenager Found in Sack with Slit Throat in Nalanda Field
Police discovered the body of a 19-year-old youth stuffed inside a sack in a field near his house in Nalanda district on Monday. The victim, identified as Anshu Kumar, had a slit throat. He went missing on Sunday afternoon, and his cellphone was found switched off.
Family Reports Missing Person
Anshu Kumar left his home at 3 pm on Sunday. His family noticed his phone was off around 4 pm. When he did not return by 5 pm, they grew worried and contacted Dial 112. Police arrived at their residence, collected information about Anshu, and took his photograph to aid the search.
Discovery of the Body
On Monday morning, family members visited the police station again to inquire about Anshu. About an hour later, police received information about a bloodstained sack found in a field behind the house of Dukhi Kevat in the Tharthari market area. A police team rushed to the spot with the family. They opened the sack and found Anshu's body inside with his throat slit.
Victim's Background
Anshu Kumar was the son of Vineet Prasad, a farmer from Raipur Koyal Bigha Bund in the Tharthari area. He passed Class X and took admission in Intermediate but failed once. He was the eldest among two brothers and two sisters.
Police Investigation Underway
Hilsa SDPO-I Shailja stated that preliminary investigation revealed the youth was killed by slitting his throat. Marks were found on his body. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and dog squad teams visited the site and collected samples. The motive behind the murder remains unknown, and the killers have not been identified yet. Police are waiting for a written application from the family members to proceed with further investigation.
