A tragic road accident in the early hours of Friday claimed the life of a two-wheeler rider in Udupi district. The victim, identified as Yuvaraja B, succumbed to severe injuries after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a bridge barrier.

The incident occurred around 1:50 am on Friday at Enagudde in Kaup taluk. Yuvaraja was returning from Mangaluru to his room in Brahmavar. As he reached the Udyavara bridge in Enagudde, his bike allegedly veered out of control due to excessive speed. The vehicle slammed into the pillar of the bridge barrier with great force.

Alert locals rushed to the spot upon hearing the crash. They found Yuvaraja with grievous injuries, primarily to his head and legs. An ambulance was summoned, and he was rushed to the Udupi District Government Hospital for emergency treatment. However, upon examination, the attending doctors confirmed the grim news: Yuvaraja had already passed away from the impact of the collision.
