RSS Chief Calls on Youth to Channel Global Learning for National Growth
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a compelling message to young Indians on Saturday. Speaking at a youth conference in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, he encouraged students to seek knowledge anywhere in the world. However, he firmly stressed that this acquired knowledge must ultimately serve India's development.
Future Depends on Youth Responsibility
Bhagwat addressed the gathering during his two-day visit to the city. He stated clearly that the country's future hinges on the responsibility and commitment demonstrated by its younger generation. "There is nothing wrong in going abroad to gain knowledge, but that knowledge must be used for India," Bhagwat told students at the 'Yuva Sammelan'.
This event was organized to mark the centenary year of the RSS. The chief emphasized that youth contribution remains essential for India's progress. He described building the nation's future as their fundamental responsibility.
Patriotism Drives Public Service
Bhagwat highlighted the strong patriotism he observes among today's young people. He argued that a deeper sense of national commitment naturally leads to greater public service. "Today's youth is patriotic. The stronger their sense of patriotism, the more they will work for the country," he explained.
He noted that many young individuals have already chosen to deploy their expertise and skills for the country's benefit through work with the RSS. Bhagwat rejected any notion of rivalry or confrontation, clarifying the organization's approach.
Building a Cohesive Society
"The RSS does not compete with anyone, nor does it oppose anyone," Bhagwat stated. "Our aim is to build a strong and cohesive society." He urged young people to contribute actively to this collective effort, emphasizing collaboration over conflict.
During the event, Bhagwat engaged in an extended dialogue with participating students. They posed numerous questions covering social responsibility, national development, and the specific role of youth in contemporary India. Bhagwat provided detailed answers to each query, fostering a meaningful exchange.
Centenary Outreach Programs
This youth conference forms part of a series of nationwide outreach programs planned for the RSS centenary year. Organizers emphasized that the centenary is not merely a commemorative milestone. They view it as a significant opportunity to reconnect with younger generations and clearly articulate the organization's vision for society.
Several RSS functionaries attended the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar event. These included Anil Bhalerao, the Sanghchalak of Devgiri province, and Munjaji Jagade, the divisional Sanghchalak. Organizers confirmed that similar youth interactions will be held across Maharashtra in the coming months as centenary celebrations continue.
The message from Nagpur remains clear: acquire knowledge globally, but apply it locally for India's advancement.
