A driver in Delhi was arrested for allegedly fleeing with Rs 47 lakh in cash that belonged to his employer. The incident took place in the national capital, where the driver, identified as Ravi Kumar, was entrusted with the money to deposit in a bank. Instead, he decided to abscond with the cash.
Chase and Arrest
The employer quickly realized the theft and informed the police. A team was formed to track down the driver. The police managed to locate Ravi Kumar in the Rohini area after a brief chase. He was apprehended, and a significant portion of the stolen money was recovered from his possession.
Recovery of Cash
According to the police, Rs 44 lakh was recovered from the accused, while the remaining Rs 3 lakh is still missing. The police are interrogating the driver to ascertain the whereabouts of the remaining amount and to determine if he had any accomplices.
