Forensic Reports Clear CM Mann in Sacrilege Video

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday stated that forensic reports have confirmed that the individual seen in a viral video related to a sacrilege incident is not Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Addressing the media, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema accused the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) of attempting to defame Mann following the initiation of talks to enact a stringent anti-sacrilege law.

Forensic Analysis Exonerates CM

Cheema asserted that the forensic examination of the video clearly shows that the person in question is not Mann. He emphasized that the AAP government is committed to upholding the sanctity of religious texts and will not tolerate any attempts to spread misinformation. The minister further alleged that the SAD, in a bid to divert attention from its own failures, has resorted to baseless allegations against the Chief Minister.

SAD Accused of Defamation Campaign

According to Cheema, the SAD's actions are a direct response to the Punjab government's move to draft an anti-sacrilege law. He claimed that the opposition party is threatened by the proposed legislation, which aims to prevent future incidents of religious desecration. The Finance Minister urged the public to disregard the misleading video and trust the forensic evidence presented by the authorities.

The AAP has consistently maintained that Mann has no involvement in any sacrilege-related activities. The party has called for an impartial investigation into the origin of the video and has demanded strict action against those responsible for spreading false narratives. Meanwhile, the SAD has yet to respond to the AAP's latest claims.
