Nick Fuentes Advocates for Midterm Election Boycott to Trigger GOP Implosion
In a recent podcast appearance, white supremacist figure Nick Fuentes issued a stark call to American voters, urging them to abstain from participating in the upcoming midterm elections. His goal is to see the Republican Party suffer a devastating defeat, which he believes could lead to the impeachment and indictment of former President Donald Trump.
Fuentes' Vision for Political Cleansing and Radical Transformation
Fuentes articulated his desire for a "cleansing fire" within the GOP, stating that the party is beyond repair due to what he perceives as self-inflicted failures under Trump's leadership. He emphasized that voting Republican has not yielded the desired outcomes, and thus, a boycott is necessary to force a crisis.
"Don't vote. Do not vote in the midterms. The Republicans have to lose. They have to crash and burn. A cleansing fire is the only thing that will save us," Fuentes declared during the podcast. He criticized Trump's personnel, policies, and strategies, asserting that they have led to repeated mistakes.
Hopes for Legal Actions and a Fascist Candidate in 2028
Beyond the midterms, Fuentes expressed hope that Democrats would impeach Trump and other Republicans, uncover criminal behavior through document releases, and ultimately destroy the GOP. He then outlined a long-term strategy, calling for a radical candidate in the 2028 presidential election.
"I hope we get a fascist to run in 28 to burn the GOP down as a dark horse and win the presidency as a right-wing radical. That is my hope. That is my playbook," he added, clarifying that his reference to a "Nazi" was metaphorical rather than literal.
Historical Context and Evolving Stance on Trump
This is not the first instance of Fuentes criticizing Trump. Previously, he acknowledged in a video that Trump was advantageous for certain interests like Israel, the oil and gas industry, Silicon Valley, and Wall Street, but argued he was not beneficial for Fuentes' far-right movement.
His comments once drew praise from progressive former U.S. Congressman Jamaal Bowman, who saw common ground in their critiques of Trump. However, Fuentes has since distanced himself from any alignment with the left, stating there is no shared ground.
"My problem with Trump isn't that he's Hitler — my problem with Trump is that he is not Hitler," Fuentes remarked in a recent streaming show, highlighting his extremist views and focus on issues like potential U.S. actions against Iran.
Fuentes' rhetoric underscores the deepening fractures within right-wing politics in America, as he pushes for a complete overhaul of the Republican establishment through non-participation and radical future candidates.
