Jaipur Hosts Army Day Parade with Shaurya Sandhya

The historic city of Jaipur prepares for a significant Army Day Parade on Thursday morning. This marks the first time Jaipur hosts this prestigious event, joining Bengaluru, Pune, and Lucknow as the fourth city in India to do so.

Parade Details and Public Instructions

Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal issued clear guidelines for spectators. He urged everyone to arrive at the Mahal Road venue by 8 am. Attendees must park their vehicles only in designated parking lots and occupy seats or spaces according to their pass blocks.

Mittal emphasized that only those with valid passes should approach the venue. He advised others to avoid creating unnecessary chaos. The parade will be telecast live for those unable to attend in person.

Shaurya Sandhya Evening Program

The Indian Army organizes a Shaurya Sandhya program at SMS Stadium later in the evening. This special event depicts the achievements of Operation Sindoor, showcasing the bravery and accomplishments of the armed forces.

Traffic Management Challenges

Officials anticipate difficult traffic conditions on Thursday. The Jaipur Literature Festival begins simultaneously at Hotel Clarks Amer on JLN Marg, adding to the congestion.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is among the dignitaries expected at the Army Day Parade. President Droupadi Murmu will also visit Jaipur on January 16. To ensure smooth event conduct, police will divert traffic onto alternative routes.

These diversions will likely affect traffic on several major roads throughout the day.

Specific Traffic Diversions for SMS Stadium

For the Shaurya Sandhya event at SMS Stadium, authorities plan specific traffic measures. All four roads around SMS Stadium will experience diversions during two time slots: from 4 pm to 5 pm and again from 7 pm to 8 pm.

All roadways and long-distance buses will follow alternative routes. They will pass through Narayan Singh Circle, Prithviraj Road, Statue Circle, and Chomu House intersection to reach Sindhi Camp bus stand.

Police Commissioner Mittal assured the public that these measures aim to maintain order and safety during both events. He requested cooperation from all citizens to ensure successful proceedings.
