Security Forces Eliminate Two Jaish-e-Mohammad Terrorists in Kishtwar Operation
In a significant counter-terrorism operation, two terrorists affiliated with the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad group were neutralized by security forces in the remote forested area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, conducted jointly by the Indian Army, local police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was launched based on precise intelligence inputs from multiple agencies, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Intelligence Bureau.
The militants, who were hiding in a mud house at the base of a hill in the snow-bound Chatroo forests, opened fire on the advancing security teams. This led to a fierce exchange of gunfire, resulting in the elimination of both terrorists. During the subsequent search, security personnel recovered war-like stores, including two AK-47 rifles, highlighting the militants' armed capabilities.
Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat RRTS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Meerut Metro and the Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, marking a major milestone in India's urban transportation infrastructure. He flagged off the remaining portions of the country's first high-speed RRTS, which is also recognized as India's fastest metro system.
The 82-kilometer Delhi–Meerut corridor spans across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, connecting key urban centers such as Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Modinagar, and Meerut. This project is set to drastically reduce travel time between these cities to under one hour, enhancing connectivity and boosting regional development. During his visit, the Prime Minister also unveiled various development projects with a total value of nearly Rs 12,930 crore.
Eight Suspects Arrested Over Alleged Terror Plot Targeting Delhi Landmarks
In a coordinated effort, eight suspects allegedly linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Bangladesh-based extremist groups were arrested in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Intelligence alerts had warned of a possible terror plot targeting iconic landmarks in Delhi, including the Red Fort and several prominent temples.
Delhi Police reported that six suspects were detained from multiple locations in Tamil Nadu, while two were apprehended in West Bengal during follow-up operations. Dozens of mobile phones and SIM cards were seized for forensic analysis. Investigators believe the group communicated via social media platforms and posted content supporting Pakistan-based outfits. Notably, four of the suspects had previously traveled to Delhi to paste "Free Kashmir" posters at a metro station during an international summit before returning to their respective states.
PM Modi Condemns Congress Protest at AI Summit as "Dirty Politics"

Speaking on the Julian Dorey Podcast, Kiriakou stated that a fellow former intelligence official, who recently visited the White House, informed him of this decision.
Kiriakou quoted his source as saying, "I have a friend, former CIA officer, who was at the White House this morning talking to his friends, and he says that a decision has been made to attack Iran on Monday or Tuesday." This assertion has sparked discussions about potential escalations in international tensions, though official confirmations are pending.
