Kavitha Demands Case Against Pawan Kalyan for Anti-National Remarks
Kavitha Seeks Case Against Pawan Kalyan Over Remarks

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded that the state government file a case against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for his alleged anti-national statements. Speaking at a meeting of Telangana statehood movement activists in Karimnagar on Thursday, she accused the neighbouring state's leader and actor of equating pro-Telangana activists with terrorists and separatists.

Kavitha's Allegations

“He goes to Delhi and equates the Telangana sentiment with ‘Verpatuvadam’, as if we wanted to separate from India as a country. When did we say that? When was the Telangana agitation about wanting to separate from the country?” she questioned. Kavitha asserted that Pawan Kalyan should be booked for making divisive and anti-national statements. She also criticized the Congress government for not taking action, asking, “Why doesn’t the Congress govt have the courage to file a case?”

BJP's Alleged Role

The TRS chief alleged that the BJP was behind Pawan Kalyan’s tour and comments, claiming that the party wanted to capture power in Telangana. She stated that since the BJP could not come to power on its own and might not retain its current eight seats in the next elections, it was attempting to use Pawan Kalyan as a tool. Kavitha’s remarks come amid heightened political tensions between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
