JP Nadda Chairs BJP's Uttarakhand Strategy Meet, Focuses on 2027 Assembly Polls

In a strategic move ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, Union minister and former BJP president JP Nadda convened a crucial meeting with the party's state core committee in Dehradun on Saturday. The session was dedicated to gathering feedback from senior state members and outlining comprehensive preparations for the upcoming state polls.

Key Focus Areas for BJP's Uttarakhand Campaign

BJP state chief Mahendra Bhatt detailed the primary objectives discussed during the meeting. The first priority centered on enhancing interaction with booth and grassroots-level workers. Bhatt emphasized that the goal is to strengthen coordination between the government and the party organization. To this end, a significant meeting is scheduled for February 17, which will be attended by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, senior members, and district committee representatives.

The second point involved planning events specifically for booth-level workers to boost engagement and morale. The third focus was on implementing training programs for party members in preparation for the 2027 elections. Bhatt noted that Nadda praised the performance of the Dhami government, describing it as an encouraging development for the party.

Nadda and Dhami Address Youth at University Convocation

Earlier in the day, Nadda attended the 8th convocation of Swami Ram Himalayan University in Jollygrant as the chief guest, with CM Dhami serving as the guest of honor. In his address, Nadda highlighted the responsibilities that come with academic degrees, stating, "A degree carries with it a responsibility towards human development and society. The next 25 years of 'Amritkaal' will be decisive years for the creation of a developed India, in which today's youth will not only be witnesses, but also actors."

Dhami echoed this sentiment, underscoring Uttarakhand's youth as the state's greatest asset. He urged students to apply their knowledge, skills, and sensitivity toward nation-building, ensuring their actions reflect compassion, humanity, and service.

Academic Achievements Recognized

The convocation ceremony saw degrees conferred on 1,001 students from various faculties, including medicine, allied health, nursing, management, engineering, yoga sciences, and biosciences. Additionally, 31 students received academic awards, two were honored with the Swami Ram Best Graduate Award, and 14 researchers were awarded PhD degrees, marking a celebration of educational excellence in the region.
