Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Launches Sharp Attack on Congress Over AI Summit Protest
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday delivered a scathing critique of the Congress party for its protest activities during the recent artificial intelligence summit held in Delhi. Speaking at the Rural Postal Service Workers' Conference in Ujjain, Scindia accused the opposition party of deliberately attempting to damage India's global image and reputation on the international stage.
National Event Beyond Political Affiliations
Scindia emphasized that the AI summit represented a national event of significant importance that transcended political party lines. "There are individuals who never miss an opportunity to undermine our country," Scindia declared during his address. "The AI summit was not a BJP event, nor was it a programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was an event organized for our entire nation, India."
Massive International Participation Highlighted
The Union minister provided detailed statistics about the summit's impressive scale and international participation to underscore its importance:
- Presidents and Prime Ministers from over 25 countries attended the event
- Official representatives from 30 different nations participated
- Approximately 10 lakh people attended from across India
"With a new energy and a new dynamism, India is positioned to play a significant role in the transformation that artificial intelligence will bring to the world," Scindia stated. "In such an environment of national importance, the Congress party tarnished the image of Mother India by engaging in completely inappropriate behaviour during the summit."
Opposition Parties Distanced Themselves
Scindia claimed that even other opposition political parties had distanced themselves from the Congress party's controversial stance and protest actions during the summit. "All political parties condemned this act of protest," he asserted. "The Congress reached the extent of disgracing our country, leaving every citizen completely shocked and disappointed by their actions."
Congress Facing Existential Crisis
The Union minister concluded his remarks by suggesting that the Congress party faces an existential crisis, noting that Indian voters had already rejected the party in previous elections. "Now, Congress leaders themselves are working to eliminate whatever remains of the party's existence through their own actions and decisions," Scindia added, highlighting what he characterized as self-destructive behaviour by the opposition party.
Scindia's comments represent the latest escalation in political tensions between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress party, with the artificial intelligence summit protest serving as a flashpoint in ongoing debates about India's international reputation and domestic political conduct during important national events.
