Uttar Pradesh Government Launches Major Healthcare Initiative for Border Regions
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak reaffirmed the Uttar Pradesh government's unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare to every citizen, with a special focus on residents of remote and border areas. The announcement came during the formal inauguration of the Guru Gorakhnath Swasthya Seva Yatra 6.0 at the prestigious Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) in Lucknow on Thursday.
Mobile Medical Campaign Targets Tharu-Dominated Border Districts
Describing the health service campaign as a powerful instrument of public service, Pathak emphasized its critical role in extending medical care to the Tharu community residing along the sensitive India-Nepal border. The comprehensive program will organize a series of free medical camps across seven key districts from February 6th to 8th.

Revolutionary Medical Technology Deployed
A highlight of the launch event was the distribution of innovative "Spandan ECG machines" to healthcare workers. Pathak highlighted the groundbreaking features of this compact diagnostic device, which is reportedly the world's smallest ECG machine.
The device offers two revolutionary advantages for remote healthcare delivery:
- It operates completely without battery power
- It functions independently of internet connectivity
"Such technological innovations will help ensure quick and accurate diagnosis and strengthen healthcare delivery in difficult terrain," Pathak stated, underscoring how this equipment addresses fundamental infrastructure challenges in rural and border areas.
Government's Healthcare Vision and Acknowledgments
The Deputy CM articulated that the campaign embodies the core values of service, dedication, and human welfare, directly reinforcing the government's foundational principle of 'Sabka Swasthya, Sabka Samman' (Health for All, Dignity for All). He extended heartfelt congratulations to all doctors, organizers, and volunteers associated with the initiative for their significant contributions to public health advancement.
The program is being executed through a collaborative effort between the National Medicos Organisation (NMO) Awadh and Gorakh Prant, in partnership with the Shri Guru Gorakhnath Seva Nyas trust.
