Reactions and next steps
State BJP president B Y Vijayendra acknowledged receipt of the report and said the party would take appropriate action based on the recommendations. “We will study the report in detail and implement measures to strengthen party discipline,” he said. The cross-voting had led to the defeat of some BJP candidates in the MLC polls, prompting the party to form the three-member committee to investigate.
