Massive Blaze Engulfs Tent House Warehouse in Kapurthala
A devastating fire erupted at a tent house warehouse on Amritsar Road in Kapurthala on Saturday morning, consuming goods and materials valued at several lakhs of rupees. The fire, reported around 10:35 am, prompted a swift response from the local fire brigade, which deployed multiple fire tenders to combat the flames.
Firefighting Operation Launched Promptly
Upon receiving the alert, a nine-member firefighting team led by Fire Officer Gurpreet Singh rushed to the scene with fire engines. The team initiated an immediate operation to control the blaze, which had engulfed the warehouse located in a lane off the main road. According to fire officials, four fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
Extensive Damage to Stored Goods
The warehouse was reported to contain a large inventory of tent house equipment, decorative items, and other materials. Most of these stored goods were completely destroyed in the fire, resulting in a substantial financial loss estimated in the lakhs of rupees. Firefighters continued their efforts to extinguish the remaining flames at the time of this report.
Cause Under Investigation
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Fire officials stated that a detailed investigation would be conducted once the blaze is fully extinguished to ascertain the origin and cause of the incident. No injuries were reported in the fire.
