On Friday, a team from the Manesar Municipal Corporation used a bulldozer to demolish an illegal Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant on Naurangpur Road. The plant had been operating without the required permissions, officials said.
Details of the Demolition Drive
The plant, identified as SBJ RMC plant, was spread across nearly four acres of land. Deputy Town Planner (DTP) Rajendra Sharma of the Manesar Municipal Corporation confirmed that the facility was functioning without valid approval from the authorities. The demolition was carried out as part of a broader crackdown on unauthorized constructions within the municipal limits.
Scope of Illegal Operations
According to DTP Sharma, more than 30 such illegal RMC plants have been identified operating within the municipal area. The civic body has vowed to take action against all of them in the coming days. “The drive against illegal construction and establishments operating without permission in the municipal area will continue,” Sharma stated.
Appeal to the Public
Sharma urged the public to obtain necessary approvals from the concerned department before starting any construction. He warned that strict action would be taken without discrimination against anyone found violating the rules. The municipal corporation is intensifying its enforcement efforts to curb unauthorized activities.
Impact and Next Steps
The demolition of the SBJ RMC plant sends a strong message to other illegal operators. The Manesar Municipal Corporation is expected to conduct further inspections and demolitions in the near future. This action aligns with the civic body’s commitment to enforcing building regulations and ensuring lawful operations within its jurisdiction.
