Temple Roof Collapse in Parbhani Leaves 7 Dead, 30 Injured
At least seven devotees lost their lives and 30 others sustained injuries when the roof of an under-construction Hanuman temple suddenly gave way during a religious ceremony in Yashwadi, located in the Manavat taluka of Parbhani district. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Rescue Operations and Medical Response
Emergency rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene and worked in a coordinated manner to extricate devotees trapped under the debris. According to Manwat tehsildar Pandurang Mochewad, around six of the injured are in critical condition and are receiving intensive care at nearby hospitals. All injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at various medical facilities in the region.
Government Assurance and Assistance
Parbhani district Guardian Minister Meghana Bordikar has assured that the state government will provide all necessary financial assistance to the families of the deceased and the injured. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that the victims receive adequate support during this difficult time.
