A chilling CCTV video has surfaced, documenting the fatal shooting of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) functionary Lucky Oberoi outside a gurdwara in the upscale Model Town area of Jalandhar, Punjab. The brazen attack occurred early on Friday morning, sending shockwaves through the city.

The video evidence reveals a meticulously planned and executed assault. At approximately 7:35 AM, as the street bustled with vehicles and devotees heading to the gurdwara, Lucky Oberoi was seen stepping out of the religious site. He proceeded to unlock his parked Mahindra Thar SUV.
In a calculated move, a hooded assailant casually approached the vehicle. As Oberoi settled into the driver's seat, minimizing his chance of escape, the shooter fired multiple shots at close range. The entire violent episode, captured starkly on camera, lasted a mere ten seconds.
After firing, the attacker swiftly ran towards a waiting scooter that emerged from a nearby lane and fled the scene. Police reports indicate that at least two individuals were involved, arriving on the scooter before opening fire on Oberoi while he was seated inside his car.
Aftermath and Police Investigation
Lucky Oberoi sustained critical gunshot wounds in the attack. He was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to his injuries, later being pronounced dead. The Jalandhar police have confirmed that the assailants fired several bullets before making their escape.

Lucky Oberoi was a known figure within the AAP's local structure in Jalandhar. He resided in the Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar area of the city. Professionally, he worked as a financier and was actively involved in the property business.
His political connections were significant. Oberoi was considered close to Rajwinder Thiara, the AAP's in-charge for the Jalandhar Cantt constituency. Furthermore, his wife, Simarjot Kaur, had contested the previous year's municipal corporation elections on an AAP ticket, highlighting the family's deep ties to the party.
