Whether due to apathy or ignorance, these errors have raised eyebrows among residents and travelers.
State Transport Authority's Quirky Road Safety Ad
The State Transport Authority (STA), known for turning road safety into meme-worthy public service announcements, has released another creative animation. In the short film, the classic "thirsty crow" story gets a boozy twist: the crow sips beer from a glass instead of dropping pebbles into a pot of water. After drinking, it attempts to fly but crashes into a wall, failing the basic road safety test. The ad aims to highlight the dangers of drunk driving in a humorous yet impactful way.
Raja Festival Swing Under Railway Bridge Raises Safety Concerns
During the Raja festival, a child in Barang took the traditional swing activity to a dangerous level. Instead of tying swings to trees or bamboo poles, the child set up a swing under a railway bridge over a canal. Spectators were both amused and terrified, as one wrong move could lead to a fall into the canal. Railway police arrived before any accident occurred and convinced the child to find a safer location away from trains and water.
