A tragic road accident in Bihar's Madhubani district claimed five lives on Saturday after two motorcycles collided head-on. The deceased include a married couple and three young men, police said.
Details of the Accident
The collision occurred when one of the riders attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed into an oncoming motorcycle. The impact was severe, leading to multiple fatalities on the spot.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Rahmatullah alias Rajan, 38, his wife Rukhsar Khatoon, 34, Sachin Kumar, 18, Sujit Kumar, 18, and Karan Kumar, 18. Rahmatullah and Rukhsar were traveling to Ladania, Rukhsar's parental village, to consult a doctor. The three youths were heading to Jainagar to catch a train.
Casualties and Medical Response
Sachin died at the scene of the accident. Sujit and Karan were rushed to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) but succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Ladania Station House Officer (SHO) Anup Kumar confirmed that the bodies were handed over to the families after completing all necessary legal formalities.
